Post What is STINT?

All Christians feel the burden of missions at least once in their lives.
The STINT (STaff INTernship) program provides six-month to one-year programs involving firsthand missions experience with local missionaries through language, cultural and ministry training. It provides an excellent opportunity for interns to discover their calling, learn how to utilize their talents to serve and commit to being a sending or going-missionary.

After the start of short-term missions to the Philippines in 1990, Korea CCC began a more extensive missionary training program in September of 1991 called STINT. That year, it commissioned 20 students to Japan and is currently sending 1,000 students to seven nations around the world. Last June, LA KCCC began its first STINT program by sending eight interns to East Asia, Japan, and Kazakhstan.

Though the commitment of six months to one year of their lives was an obstacle for the eight interns, nothing could hinder their deep desire to be partakers in the harvest field for the Lord. (Three of the interns are back here at Vision Conference, and the other five will continue their training for six more months).

As a program for students who wish to dedicate six months to a year as short-term missionaries. STINT (Short Term INTernational) members share the Gospel overseas while working with the local missionaries. Student housing is provided on the local college campuses with language courses readily available to aid in the ministry work.
