Want, Like, Will do for Summer

So…. summer has unofficially started. The weather is painfully hot in Southern California but I’m accustomed to it and I actually prefer the hot weather over the freezing cold weather.

I’m jotting down everything that I like to do during summer.
1. What I like to do
2. The things I should do
3. What do I want to accomplish/finish
4. What I want to do but am afraid to do
5. What I want to do but don’t have the money to do
6. Something crazy and extraordinary to do
7. Fun and relaxing things

Better to jot all these things down before all the ideas that floats inside my head disappears.
1. Play golf, go swim in the beach, get a tan, watch all the FIFA World Cup games, read books, do hella of a good job at my new job, spend more time with my cousin and little bro, study more (yeah, bummer) and start preparing, hiking, retreats, add 2500 miles to the odometer, and change styles.
2. Do hella of a good job at my new job, wrap up college and prepare for the commencement, plan on moving out of the house by next year, find a new church, play more golf and practice drumming, visit Chris in his station, stay far far away from the internet….

Napster reborn - rejoice!

Do you remember the good ol’ Napster days? With the wonder of the P2P technology, I’ve spent countless hours with that application. Well, after the commotion with the RIAA and their successful attempt to take down the growing trend of music sharing, Napster were forced to shut down.

Few years later, Napster rejoined the 99 cent music download along with the top-dog, Apple iTunes and Yahoo Music. Recently, Napster started offering an amazing feature to its registered members. Listen to their songs (in its entirety) for free! The Napster music library is unending.

Departing Old Habits and Interests

Departing Old Habits and Interests

There are remaining habits and interests that I still resume to this day. I been doing lot of reflections and planning and came up with a lists of habits, interests, and responsibilities that I will get it removed after graduation. Transition shouldn’t be difficult. College year is over for me and the events and activities that have interested me back in high school and college year remains as a great memory and no longer an interest.

Buffet Restaurants

I just came back from indulging at a buffet restaurant. Like father and son, we love buffets. Options after options. I’m going to take my friends to a Korea buffet after the graduation ceremony. 8)
Tonight was not an ordinary buffet dinner night. This past weekend, I was playing this game after lunch and I had to share my weight since I was it. For a guy, we never hesitate to share our weight. When I did, everyone was surprised. They never imagined I was that light. Was I that underweight? Well, fortunately I am. 8) According to the school health office, my weight based on the average Americans my age is in the border of underweight and average. C’mon, average Americans are substantially heavier than Asian-Americans. I’m satisfied with my weight and my body fat. I can’t help being somewhat health conscious, high metabolism, drinking green/brown rice tea on a daily basis, and playing golf every week.
Going back to the buffet story, I practiced gluttony. I wanted to gain some weight but abnormal intake of delicious food on one night was not a great idea. But I feel great right now. I should instead concentrate on hitting the gym and drinking protein shake for a muscular build rather than practice gluttony and not seeing positive results.

Tour The U.S. With A Motorcycle!

The graduation commencement is on June 10, 2006, Saturday. I will get one week of break and I will need to return to summer quarter to finish the remaining units left.
But before I return back to school, I really need to get my mind off the textbooks during the short period. I’ve decided with the encouragement of my father, that I should plan a week long road trip across many states in a car. Sounds unrealistic? Well, read on.

My best friend will visit Los Angeles on June 8th and will attend my graduation ceremony and a wedding ceremony (concidentally the same day) on the 10th. Daniel is a pioneer. He has actually driven from Los Angeles to New York last year to get home and I was impressed. And I am really hoping that he can join me in this adventure and partake in the exploration of famous restaurants and state landmarks across states. How exciting! If time permits, I want to delve into all fifteen (+/-4) states!

This whole adventure idea was brought up Tuesday night when my dad asked, “How come you don’t like to travel?” Few seconds later, I replied with a ‘don’t make me’ look, “That’s it dad, I’m driving to New York city after the graduation date.” That must have been the answer he wanted to hear because he smiled and supports me all the way. :)
I’m going to start my planning this weekend and decide if the one week timeframe is sufficient for the roundtrip. Unfortunately summer quarter begins on Monday so I must return back within the week. Such vacation is like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity so long hours of planning will be invested into this project.

Regarding the blog title, “Tour The U.S. With A Motorcycle!” I’m thinking of completing the CA-MSP and get the Motorcycle license from the CA DMV. I really want to get a weekend-drive motorcycle. A used bike for beginners ranges around $1,500 to $2,300 which is affordable. I’ll keep you posted about the bike at a later date.
