Cerritos Towne Center Evangelism

I had a ‘Business Communication’ presentation this evening where I shared a portion of my life. While half of the classmates were listening with interest, the other half must have been bored out of their mind (or hungry since it was 7p.m.) based on the looks on their face.

The professor was jotting notes throughout the presentation and smiling whenever I made eye contact with her. So far, so good. I shared with the class that I am actively practicing Christianity. So far, so good. But the good part did not last long. When I mentioned that Jesus Christ was the savior and that people (tsunami victims/nonbelievers in Thailand ) needed to know the gospel in order to be saved, the expression on the professor’s face changed. Her bright smile suddenly flipped upside down and she seemed to be shaking her head.

On the flipside, the presentation was part of my evangelistic tactic.

Speaking of evangelism, today was our Central ReComm evangelism night. Class ended 7:30pm and I headed straight to Cerritos Towne Center . When I reached the 10 East and 605 South intersection, cars were moving 10 feet for every 5 minutes. A car accident had occurred. Oh boy. I thought I would not make it to the Towne Center within time. I notified John. Crawling for the past 15 minutes, I finally passed by the accident site.

It has been years since I let the car loose so I WIDE OPEN THROTTLED my car!! Yeeehaw!

I reached the Towne Center and was blessed at first sight. Our young ReComm brothers and sisters were praising God at a public site.
John was leading the praise with his guitar. Danny, Julia, Jennifer, Kristine, Jina, Annie, Brian, and Daniel took the time to show up and to serve God.
I was first uncomfortable due to the ongoing traffic near where we praised. But fear went away rather quick. In the middle of our praise, a couple approached us and complimented on our effort before they headed off. God bless them.

John was very happy during the praise that two guitar strings broke loose. Julia and Kristine had their jacket hoods on because of the weather. Jennifer was waiting for her friend Daniel to arrive. Brian was rubbing his tummy because he was hungry.

We sang many praise songs and most of us were enthusiastic and hungry at the same time. Some of us went to eat at Subways and I hung out with the freshmen and listen to them talk about JDSNs getting married early and yeah…..

God is good.
