Personal Profile System Response & Interpretation

You may have heard quotes like "Before knowing your enemy or whoever, you must know yourself" or something similar to it. In college, certain courses help students identify their behaviors, characteristics, personalities, strengths & weaknesses, and etcetera. "Are you a natural leader?" "Do you have what it takes to become an entrepreneur?" "Are you a risk-taker?"

During this past spring break, I went on a two-nights, three days retreat to Lake Arrowhead with a Christian organization (KCCC). On the second day, we spent a good hour and a half doing this survey like worksheets. Is this a Christian retreat? As soon as I got the four page long worksheet, the title peeked my interest.

Personal Profile System Dimensional Intensity Index (Page 4)

On page 1, we were to 'choose one MOSt and one LEAST in each of the 28 groups of words.' Four columns with seven rows, a total of 28 boxes.
Within each box, four adjectives are present with a MOST and LEAST bubble for each adjective. And in each fill-in-bubbles are a geometric shape.

Each individual were asked to carefully select their MOST and LEAST related adjective that applies to themselves.
So, for instance, in box 1, 'enthusiastic, daring, diplomatic, and satisfied' were the adjective words and I selected one of the choices which were MOST related to my personality and another LEAST related to my personality.

After completing all 28 boxes, we then tally up all the MOST and LEAST choices we have selected and count up the total geometric figures.

Enough with the details, the final results were astonishing. The following was my 'Personal Profile System Response and Interpretation.'

Please set aside an hour and use the time to find and learn your purpose, your goals, values, personality, characteristic, responsibilities, capabilities, strengths & weaknesses, special gifts & talents, and dreams.
Stop for a moment. Smell the roses. You should control your own life rather than letting life control you. Don't just follow the herd and do what the society tells you to do. Find out what brings you happiness in life and not let the media portray its own version of happiness to you. Enough with my philosophical mumble-jumble.

The Personal Profile System test helped me. I now need to find and take the Spiritual Gifts test.

edit: I've edited out some lines because of copyright infringement. The information about the Personal Profile System is copyrighted by Carlson Learning Company and Dimensions of Behavior (DiSC). All rights reserved.

For reference. There are four interpretation stages for the Personal Profile System test.

1. Dominance
Emphasis is on shaping the environment by overcoming opposition to accomplish results.
2. Influence
Emphasis is on shaping the environment by influencing or persuading others.
3. Conscientiousness (mentioned above)
4. Steadiness
Emphasis is on cooperating with others to carry out the task.

Take the test. In addition to the emphasis for each personality, 1) the person's tendencies, 2) desires in an environment, 3) needs in others, and the 4) effectiveness are bullet-pointed and better describe the emphasis for each category.

Keep in mind, the four personality types are not stages in which one can transition into and out of. For instance, after completing the test and the results concludes that you are in the STEADINESS category, you should not try to become a dominant person because the personality type is like night and day. The emphasis, needs, effectiveness, and environment contradicts each other, thus lowering the chance of reaching their potential. But no one will blame you if you want to try adapting to things in which an individual lack.
