VBS Kingdom Seekers "Wild For God"

I had a blast!! I was involved with this year's VBS Camp for Sarang Community Church Upper Elementary (Kingdom Seekers) on June 23 through June 25.
Over 180 kids, ranging from 4th grade to 6th grade drove to Idyllwild, California to spend time with God, worship and praise, crafts, outdoor activities and games, and just have a wonderful time.

It was truly an awesome experience! Without a doubt, I will sign up for next year if I get the chance.

I had six kids, all fifth graders.

Each student was very unique and they all made my VBS camp experience much better. To be honest, I did not expect what I have expected from this VBS camp. And by the end of the VBS retreat, I was overwhelmed and so blessed to be a part of the program. I hope that all my students have learned so much through the VBS, through praise and worship, morning devotions, and small group discussions.

Idyllwild camp site was beautiful. All our activities and cabins were located deep within a forest at around 6000 feet elevation. Bright stars were clearly visible during the night and mosquitoes were unavoidable. Warm meals were prepared by the campsite staffs in the dining hall, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Volleyball court, basketball court, playground, mountain creek, swimming pool, hiking trails, and various outdoor activities were available on the campsite. The camp site was large enough to accommodate 200 people without a problem.

I was astonished at how powerful the worship was. Every single kids were shouting with joy at the top of their little lungs. They were hopping up and down, with their hands lifted high, they were full of energy and love for God. Beautiful voices resonated the entire hall, teaching me how wonderful God truly is. I couldn't stop smiling! I felt like a kid myself.
Back in my days, I attended a small church in Los Angeles and our style of praise could not be compared to what I've experienced this year. Nonetheless, all kids had the best time of their summer during VBS. I sure did.

I left VBS with many memorable events and I had learned so much from such young children. Staffs from Kingdom Seekers (upper elementary department) wanted me to help out for the following term as a bible study teacher and I can not refuse their offer. What better things are there then to serve God through children's ministry on a Sunday morning/afternoon.
